The music of Bertali – Chamber sonatas

Classical music for your day.

Off to the baroque we go! And a pretty early baroque at that too.

Here are three pieces by Bertali. Born in Verona, he was an Italian composer and wrote a fair amount of operas, chamber music and liturgical works. Apparently (from Wikipedia), half of his works are lost unfortunatly.

I played this Erich Ferstl composition at the 2003 Montreal Jazz Festival. Only one camera, but good sound, and it zooms in partway through. Many thanks to my friends Mitch Polgar and Dan Behrman for recording the show and getting me the gig!
