On the Fiddle: Reels: Donal O’Riain, Matt Tarling, Clare Tarling, Colm Murphy

On the Fiddle, 4th July 2009.

Clare and Matt Tarling organised a concert held in the small church in Winterborne Monkton in Dorset, UK, of some of the top fiddle players in the South (Donal O’Riain, Colm Murphy, Clare and Matt Tarling with Don Oeters, Rick Foot and Andy Stone). “An evening of uplifting traditional fiddle music from Ireland, America and Eastern Europe.”

In this video Donal, Matt, Clare and Colm take turns in showing their prowess on the fiddle, each playing a lively reel. Donal plays The Star Of Munster reel; Matt plays the Scottish Wedding Reel; Clare plays Dr.Gilbert’s reel and Colm finishes with Pachelbel’s Frolics reel. They all join together to finish off playing the Cape Breton reel, Trip To Windsor (composed by Dan R. Macdonald).
