Julianne Johnson Old Time Fiddle And Banjo Song
Filed under: old time fiddle music

We always wondered who Julianne Johnson was since a fiddle tune was named for her, so I wrote this song….”my brother was a coal miner from the mountains of West Virginia and he fell in love with a gal whose beau joined the Union army and never came home. Now they hung my brother and this is the story he wanted all you folks to know.”

Great melody and story, Lisa! Whoever is doing that background fiddle is doing a super job, too! Any one can play a melody but back-up like that takes genuine talent and soul.
