I hope that people continue to learn the discipline of music and develop their talents. Music definitely does change over time, but I too worry that children are not being exposed to the world of music in a way that allows them to be creative producers of musical forms, instead of consumers of sound.

Ya, I think it's dying. I don't really listen to very much classical music, but when I do I have a few choice ones that I'll listen to.

What do you mean by classical music? Is it just the "Wiener Klassik"? The philharmonic Music of the nineteenth century? Does it include barock or non european tarditional music culture? What about new compostions?

So when history and society change, music and art won’t be the same anymore. It does not mean that compositions become worse but music of a certain era becomes a part of cultural history and isn’t "real" anymore. You should play it but it will never be the same again. Music must be reinvented day by day. The best way is not just listening music of old "Meisters". You should never forget to play music and to invent pieces by yourself.
