The Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music is a chamber music school in New Hampshire which works with young people from around the world. As part of their work , Apple Hill has brought Israelis and Palestinians together to do chamber music, and found (to their surprise) that they were also doing reconciliation work. The executive director and several chamber music players came to USIP to talk about what they do and play some music. They explained how their Playing for Peace program works, giving examples of good and bad listening and cuing, as well as the conflict resolution skills that chamber music promotes — flexibility, awareness of other people, sensitivity, compromise, etc.
