I’m currently playing classical and pop (marching) music and am interested in upgrading my mouthpiece (4C, there’s a lot of room for improvement). I for sure plan on continuing with the marching, but I still want a mouthpiece usable for classical playing, as I might pursue that as well.
I’m planning on spending under $100, and [...]

What Was That Jazz Song?

Hello Folks:
How many of you guys listen to smooth jazz? In addition to the fact that I listen to EDM (electronic dance music, such as techno, electronica, drum & bass, house, etc,), rock music (industrial, metal, punk, classics, oldies, etc.), classical music (pipe organ, chamber, symphony, etc.), country music (folk, bluegrass, mountain, mainstream, etc.), [...]

Here are 18 extracts from what I think are some ofthe most exciting, spine tingling orchestral pieces ever. A lot is left out of this list – Beethoven’s Ninth, for one. The pieces are (in no particular order):
1. Verdi – Messa da Requiem – Dies Irae, Dies [...]

I grew up with two professional (classical) musicians as my parents and have been attending concerts ever since my attention span was long enough to sit through an entire piece. I began piano lessons at age seven but nobody, including myself, ever thought I’d want to pursue the instrument — especially because I was a [...]
